This beginner-friendly course gives you a solid introduction to avalanche awareness, emergency equipment, and safe tour planning. No prior experience needed — just curiosity and a love for the mountains.
What to Expect
Learn the basics of avalanche safety from certified local mountain guides. You’ll get hands-on training with avalanche transceivers (beacons), shovels, and probes, and gain essential knowledge for off-piste skiing or splitboarding.
We’ll cover:
- Avalanche dangers and how to recognize them
- Proper use of avalanche safety gear (transceiver, probe, shovel)
- Slope angle assessment
- Tour planning & choosing the right equipment
- Real-life practice in beginner-friendly terrain
Start: 9:00 AM at the Trittkopfbahn parking lot in Zürs
Duration: 4.5–5 hours
